Map a sale from start to finish
Identify product lookup, quantities, discounts, payment recording and receipt requirements. Then describe returns, cancellations and end-of-day review. Permissions for cashiers and managers should reflect who can approve sensitive changes.
A scoped POS can include
- Product records, categories and stock availability.
- Sales screens, receipt layouts and transaction history.
- Returns, stock adjustments and manager approvals.
- Branch reports and agreed connections to ecommerce or business systems.
Verify payments and hardware separately
A Web POS is not automatically a bank payment terminal. Provider access, payment confirmation and transaction fees are separate considerations. Share the exact scanner, printer and terminal models; compatibility and any local printing bridge must be evaluated before a commitment.
Define connection-loss behavior
Offline operation is not included by default. It needs an explicit design for local records, reconnection, duplicate protection and conflicts. Agree which operations may continue without internet and test them on the intended devices before rollout.
Example project scope
An illustrative retail workflow records a sale, reduces stock and requires manager approval for a return. It is a scope example, not an advertised ready-made POS product.

Will a Web POS work with any receipt printer?
No. Hardware model, connection type and browser environment affect compatibility. We evaluate the intended equipment as part of the agreed scope.
Is offline billing included?
Only if explicitly scoped. Offline records, synchronization and conflict handling require additional design and testing.
